Program Mission

To educate Computer Science professionals with strong scientific, technical, and ethical foundations who are prepared to lead technological innovation and scientific research, and to develop sustainable computing solutions that address societal challenges at the local, regional, and global levels.

 

Admission Profile

1. Demonstrate academic aptitude in science-related areas, particularly Mathematics and Physics.
2. Demonstrate academic aptitude in verbal and non-verbal communication.
3. Demonstrate logical and rational thinking when addressing specific situations.
4. Demonstrate interest in the field of Computer Science.


 

Program Educational Objectives 

PEO 1

Graduates will develop and apply modern computing technologies to design innovative solutions that address societal challenges and transform organizations effectively and sustainably.

PEO2

Graduates will lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of innovative technologies and solutions, upholding the ethical principles of the computing profession, demonstrating professional responsibility, and considering the societal impact of their work. 

PEO 3

Graduates will adapt to technological change through continuous professional development, enhance their competencies throughout their careers, and pursue technology-based initiatives that foster innovation and contribute to the progress and well-being of society.


 

Student Outcomes (Graduate Profile)

Graduates of the Computer Science Program at Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología are able to analyze complex computing problems and apply principles of computing, software development fundamentals, and other relevant disciplines to design, implement, and evaluate computing solutions that meet a given set of computing requirements within the context of the Program’s discipline.

 

 

The Program expects its graduates to attain the following Student Outcomes:

Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

COM (02)

Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.

COM (03)

Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts. 

COM (04)

Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.       

COM (05)

Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.   

CCS (06)

Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
